"THERE'S CALM AFTER THE STORM" .. umm .. really ???

sending ..... sending ..... sending .....sending failed.
unable  to send .Notice :" Dear customer, you have sent 5 SMS today. As per instructions  from the Government Regulatory ,only 5 SMS can be sent per day ".
Now all of us "tech-savvy" people or in simple words the mobile addicts  already experienced this situation in just a day's matter and it took this extreme step by the government to curb a situation which was well in their hands and a step so extreme for even the rather un-interested and ignorant public to sit up and take a  look at the matter carefully !!

Till a few days back ,calling the North Eastern fellow Indians as "Chinks" or "Minks" and believing them to be of China,Japan , Korea or any other nation except India was the biggest badgering done to them ,but the recent violence which crossed its borders to even physical violence ,that too done to them in their own homeland is an event which will go down in the chapters of Indian history as a tragic incident and something which if left without taking any action even has the power to dis-integrate India in a margin which hasn't happened after Partition .

On one side, we are the encouraging and proud nation ,taking Pride in Mary Kom's olympic medal and showing off how she is India's favourite daughter and on the other  side ,what we witness is a mass exodus of a part of India from one state to another , the same part that she origins from. ( And we thought the mass exodus from Orkut to Facebook was the biggest one that our generation will get to witness !! )

What started more as some communal violence in Assam saw its repercussions in Mumbai , the backlashes of intolerance has reached Bangalore !! and is moving further to Chennai ....

Thousands of young men and women forcibly left behind their jobs , beloved ones  and with that even their sense of security and mental peace, back to their home state ,treading the unsure and eneven road to their future .

But here we are , rejoicing that our locals will get the jobs they left behind , discovering  that the Police and the Intelligence had all the information about threats and hoax messages and they chose to take No action !, discovering that the messages and videos which were circulated were fake and they were just morphed pictures of destruction caused during earthquakes and cyclones passed off as post violence scenes ,discovering that the circulation was done by 3 youth living in Koramangala just to instill fear and take pleasure out of it !!! discovering that after all this the state's deputy CM chooses to audaciously or rather foolishly go on to give a statement that he had no idea this would happen and yet  we watch helplessly ............

Is it of any use to now claim happily that the population of people leaving the city has thinned out ,after we clearly know that there are not many left at all now !? Is the ban on social networking sites by the JD(U) president of any use when a single mobile seems to have done enough damage ? Is it of any use to now take our usual routine and blame Pakistan as our respected Union Home Secretary does , when we ourselves are being a bigger problem to our fellow mates  ???

All I would want to say is that this is one situation where we are'nt or need not be helpless . It is in our hands to create confidence in these people by giving them visible law and media support , by not relying on the government which is still waiting for Eid celebrations to end for them to take any action ,by communicating effectively and making it clear to them that we being a cosmopolitan city are very much accepting of the fact that they have made this as their home and that we are here to see them through their thicks and thins .
And that India would look crippled without 1 of her hands !

Hoping for a safer future for all of us and that each of us will help to keep India beautiful  :) take care.
